Simple Habit Tracker | Simple yet Effective
Update #1
Added a color mood board based on your progression on far left. Looks pretty sick. But the choice is yours :-)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know you know that maintaining good habits takes consistent efforts therefore a daily tracker is necessary for those who want to build good habits and break the bad ones.
I use this template to do just that..
Before having this template:
🔴 I was not tracking my habits properly....
After having this template:
🟢 Life is pretty much the same.. However, I know now that I suck in following through my habits but I also know where I am lagging so, I guess that's a good thing?
You want to know more?
1. Start with duplicating the template
If you are not living under a rock, then you should probably know how to duplicate. Otherwise, its right there!
2. Add your reasons for using the daily Tracker (optional)
After duplicating, add your why's of using the tracker, This will kick your nuts and they will come to senses whenever you'd be slacking off! I personally added my resolutions here and started doing something in February. I know you are a similar loser (you're not! That's amazing). But let's just move on from that feeling, I am going to make you feel much better now....
3. How to Use the Daily Tracker
Now come the fun part. There are few things you need to consider
There are 3 types of entries:
🎖️ Habits x 4
📗 Personal Development Pursuits X 3
🅾️ Office/School/Work X 2
The columns are divided into the above categories and have a total of 10 entries.
Caution: 10 habits on a day to day basis are a tough nut to crack. I'd recommend starting with 4-5 habits for tracking.
There are 3 columns which populate automatically:
- Happy?
- Target
- Day
Target column for my setup has this formula:
round(100 * (toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️Habit 1"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("📗Personal Pursuit 3"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("📗Personal Pursuit 1"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("📗Personal Pursuit 2"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️ Habit 2"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🅾️ Office/School/work 1"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🅾️ Office/School/work 2"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️ Habit 3"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️Habit 4"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️ Habit 5"), "true", "1"))) / 10) / 100
To decrease the total number of habits decrease the highlighted number to your desired number for example I am removing "Habit 2" so this is how the formula will look
round(100 * (toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️Habit 1"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("📗Personal Pursuit 3"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("📗Personal Pursuit 1"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("📗Personal Pursuit 2"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🅾️ Office/School/work 1"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🅾️ Office/School/work 2"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️ Habit 3"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️Habit 4"), "true", "1")) + toNumber(replace(prop("🎖️ Habit 5"), "true", "1"))) / 9) / 100
If you understood this, you are the 1599333224th Notion Expert, pat yourself on your back!
4. You're all set or are you?????
Now what?
You have to check the boxes off man, Duh!
and also add a 1 line journal highlighting the worst or best part of the day at the end of the day. Remember! Try to highlight the good parts mostly so that you your pathetic demotivated self in the future can look back on these 1 line journals and smile while in mid-life crisis.
You can create your own daily tracker with following these steps but if you are a lazy ass like me, pay the nominal amount or DM me on reddit @abhi310794 or twitter @abhi3107 or instagram @abhishekparida. I am mostly in good mood so I can give it to you for free.
I guess if you are still reading, I am concluding this.. this sales copy or sales pitch or whatever you may call has finally come to an end.
Please let me know if I am able to add value with this product.
Peace!
